Defective Smart Meter PetitionAn independent consulting firm recently issued a report that confirmed many Smart Meters manufactured by Landis+Gyr are defective and causing improper overbilling for electricity usage. The independent investigation reported that defective Landis+Gyr Smart Meters run too fast and miscalculate consumer electric consumption (kilowatt hours). These miscalculations resulted in overbilling. The report leaves out which consumers were overbilled because of a defective Smart Meter. Consumers have a right to know. ![]() This new Petition addresses issues that are different than the complaints addressed previously in the Oncor Smart Meter Lawsuit that was filed on March 26, 2010. This new Petition focuses on overbilling caused by the defectively manufactured Landis+Gyr Smart Meters. If your original Smart Meter was later replaced with a different Smart Meter, you likely had a defective meter. If you believe you were overbilled because of a defective Smart Meter manufactured by Landis+Gyr, it would assist our investigation if you could take a moment to fill out and submit the details of your overbilling issues below. |
